Supporting Maritime Innovation
The Maritime Innovation Lab (MIL) is a purpose-built facility by the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) to experiment and test-bed innovative port services and intelligent ship operations. ST Engineering is supporting the MIL through projects and partnerships with MPA and other industry players that would enable Singapore’s future port.
In driving new growth areas, MPA has initiated five autonomous ship projects under the cross-agency steering committee for Maritime Autonomous Surface Ships (MASS). These include a collaboration between ST Engineering, PACC Offshore Services Holdings, American Bureau of Shipping and M1 Limited to jointly develop a Smart Maritime Autonomous Vessel. Read about the project at Annex D while MPA’s press release on MIL can be viewed here.
